Why rent a car in Agadir city?
Agadir stretches along a wide bay: the Marina to the north, the promenade and hotels in the centre, residential districts further up the hill. Distances look short on a map, but they add up quickly when you combine the beach, shopping, restaurants and sightseeing. With a rental car you plan your days without waiting for taxis or negotiating every ride.
A car really pays off as soon as you leave town: the northern coast with Aourir, Tamraght and Taghazout, the road to Paradise Valley inland, or a longer day trip to Imsouane. Renting in Agadir itself means you keep the car for your whole stay, from the first day to the last.
Where to collect your car in Agadir
LOCAGA CARS is based in Agadir, at Technopole 2 Agadir Bay. In your request, choose “Agadir city centre” and add your accommodation address: the agency suggests a handover place and time in town or where you are staying, depending on availability that day.
The meeting point, time and any delivery fee are confirmed before you commit. Nothing is booked until you have approved the total price and the rental terms.
Driving and parking in Agadir
The main roads in town are wide and the network is easy to get used to, with plenty of roundabouts. At rush hour and at weekends near the promenade, allow a little extra time. A phone GPS is enough for most journeys.
For parking, check with your hotel or host before you arrive: some have parking, others do not. Near busy areas, use signposted car parks and bays, and never leave valuables visible inside the car.
Which car for a city stay?
In town, a compact car is the most practical choice: easy to park, economical and comfortable on the coastal road. The fleet shown includes the 2026 Dacia Logan automatic, a saloon with a generous boot, and the 2026 Renault Clio 5, available as a petrol automatic or a diesel manual.
If you plan to drive a lot, the diesel Clio is good on fuel; if you would rather not change gears in traffic, choose an automatic. Either way, tell us how many travellers and suitcases you have so you receive a suitable proposal.
Day trip ideas from Agadir
Half a day is enough to drive up to the Agadir Oufella kasbah for the view over the whole bay, then head back down to the Marina for the late afternoon. The next day, follow the coast north: Aourir and its banana stalls, the cafés of Tamraght, then the surf village of Taghazout.
For a change of scenery, the road that leaves Aourir and heads inland leads to Paradise Valley, with its palm trees and natural pools. Check road conditions and the weather before you set off, and stay on routes allowed by your rental agreement.
How booking works
Choose a car, your dates and the pickup place, then send the request: it goes straight to the agency’s WhatsApp. You receive a reply with availability, the total price and the terms: deposit, insurance, mileage and fuel.
You only confirm if the offer suits you. On handover day, you walk around the car together, note the fuel level and keep the agency’s contact for any question during your stay.
