Aourir, between Agadir and the surf villages
Just north of Agadir, Aourir is the first town on the northern coast. It is nicknamed “Banana Village” for its banana plantations and the banana stalls lining the main road.
It is a handy base: Agadir to the south, Tamraght and Taghazout to the north, and the valley inland. With a car, you enjoy all three directions without timetable constraints.
Collecting your car in Aourir
Choose “Aourir” in your request and give your address and a landmark agreed with your accommodation. The agency confirms handover availability, time and any fee before you agree.
Arriving at Agadir Airport? Mention it, even if you are staying in Aourir: collecting the car when you land can be simpler.
The road to Paradise Valley
From Aourir, a road heads inland and climbs a palm-lined valley to Paradise Valley, known for its natural pools, and further up towards Imouzzer. It is one of the most beautiful drives from the coast.
The road is winding: drive carefully, set off early to avoid crowds and heat, and check the weather, as riverbeds can swell after heavy rain. Stay on routes permitted by your rental agreement.
Which car in Aourir?
For the coastal road and trips to Agadir, a compact car is more than enough. The cars shown are not 4x4s: in the valley, stay on paved roads.
If several people travel with suitcases, have the boot capacity confirmed: the number of seats is no substitute for checking luggage space. The Dacia Logan has the largest boot in the fleet.
Plan arrival and return
Agree the most convenient handover place with the agency and confirm the return when you book, to avoid last-minute arrangements.
To compare, ask for the total price including mileage, insurance, deposit and fuel policy.
